What is Startup Fredericton?

Startup Fredericton is a volunteer, entrepreneur-led community of professionals who provide support to entrepreneurs and startup companies in the Fredericton region.

Our region includes Fredericton, Oromocto, New Maryland and surrounding areas. We are 1 of 10 startup communities in New Brunswick.

Our Mission

To be the voice of the startup community in the Fredericton region, building a cohesive and collaborative relationship between our entrepreneur support organizations, mentors, investors, and the current and future entrepreneurs that we support.

We believe that entrepreneurship and small business is an important part of the equation within New Brunswick’s business ecosystem, and we are dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs to become champions within our region and province.

Our Core Principles

Startup Fredericton is a volunteer entrepreneur-led group.  Our core guiding principles are simple and clear:

  • We support our region’s startups and future entrepreneurs.
  • We are inclusive.
  • We provide unbiased representation of all the organizations in our community that support entrepreneurs.
  • We advocate for and represent our startup community as part of Startup NB, a larger network of startup communities throughout New Brunswick, and as part of the Startup Canada network.

Although we have a focus on startup entrepreneurs, as they are typically at the stage where they benefit from the most support, we are also committed to supporting our entrepreneurs throughout their journey as they scale.
